Paul Estep

Paul Estep, 72, of Blountville went home to be with the Lord on April 15, 2011 at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol. Born in Phelps, Kentucky on June 24, 1938, a son of the late David Estep  and Ethel Ashbey Estep Deskins, he has resided in this area most of his life.

Paul was the owner and operator of Estep Transmissions for over 40 years and was of the Baptist Faith. He will be remembered as a loving dad, grandpa, brother and friend who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mazie Rowe Estep in 2009 and by a brother, Danny Deskins.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie Estep of Blountville and Jay and wife Debbie Estep of Blountville; six daughters, Barbara Sue and husband Sam Goodson of Bristol, VA, Sandra Lynn Cook-Harr and husband Keith Harr of Blountville, Wanda Gail and husband Mike McGann of Bristol, VA, Jeannie Lee and husband Roger Moore of Blountville, Wendy and husband Tim Fisk of Bluff City and Lorraine and husband Daniel Minnick of Blountville; seventeen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Agie Estep of Ohio and Clifford and wife Lina Estep of Bristol, VA; one  sister, Geneva Collins of Bristol, VA; one half sister, Debbie Roberts;  three half-brothers, Roger and wife Wanda Williams of Bristol, VA, Rodney and wife Joy  Williams of Bristol, VA and Tommy and wife Marilyn Deskins of North Carolina; two step brothers, Ollie Williams and Garrett; step-sister, Allice Williams; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11a.m.-1 p.m.  Monday (April 18, 2011) at Tri-cities Funeral Home. Services will follow at 1:00 p. m. Monday in the Chapel with Rev. Roger Williams officiating. Entombment will follow in Tri-Cities Memory Garden’s Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
